HELLO MGA GUYS!!!!

As usual Tagalog na naman ang Blog post ko. This time, I thought of something related to the season. I want to talk about Christmas. Sa tingin ko, this season ay yung best imaginable. Kasi naman pag narinig mo na yung word, ang rami na pumapasok sa utak ko! Andyan yung Simbang Gabi, Putobung-bong, Monita-Monita, Carolling, Party, etc. Kaso nga lang, ang hirap talaga isipin na another year na naman akong mag X-mas na wala yung whole Cruz'.

NANDITO KAMI, SA CANADA, MALAYO SA KINALAKIHANG KLASE NG NAPAKA SAYANG PASKO.

Kasi dito, parang wala lang. Kakain lang kayo ng Noche Buenna, magpipicture-picture, mag exchange gifts, tapos matutulog na...

BORING? Hehehe. Hindi katulad sa Pilipinas. Andyan yung Christmas Party ni Ate Osang, yung family re-union sa Bulacan, yung Simbang Tabi with Paula & friends(hehehe pau, remember mo si Marvin?) at early paputoks(illegal po ang fireworks pag pasko dito).

On the bright side, we got White Christmas. Mahirap palang magbilog ng snow. And there is ONE question in my mind....

DARATING KAYA SI SANTA? :p HEHEHE

Now sabihin ko na yung Wishlist ko:

1. Pilipinas - Gusto kong umuwi. As in NO.1 wish ko talaga.
2. Laptop - Inpektado na ang pangit na to. I need a new one.
3. Professional Camera - Yes baby! Magiging Pro ako balang araw!
4. Sapatos - Specifically sneakers! Converse, Vans or Keds please.
5. Damit - Maporma at astig!
6. Cellphone - Nalaman ko na gusto ko pala ibato ang cellphone ko ngayon.
7. Kayo! - Yup!!! The Best Family in the world! Ang Lahing Cruz!!!
8. Sila! - Paula, Julius, Cybea, Ate Dang, etc. Miss you mga bHezts!!!
9. Tayo! - Happiness and Energy nga raw, sabi ni Mariel. God Bless for all!!!

Ancient Filipino Way of Treating "Canker Sore/Apthous Ulcer" or "SINGAW"

Hey I'm back after some time. So this is my 1ST EVER "ENGLISH-TEXTED" blog post. Reimer is complaining because he can't understand full Filipino text so, I'm putting this blog post in English. This will also be a really short blog post for three reasons:

1. I'm only doing this post because I'm really bored
2. I've got nothing big in my mind right now
3. I'm not good at English at all.... LOL [see? i'm always "hahaha", but now i'm using "LOL"]

So that's all. About the topic, I just thought of posting it because, seriously, only few Filipino does this, so, it's "ancient." And I frequently just got a "Canker Sore", a.k.a, "SINGAW". Now, I'll tell you the medicine, it's "salt". Yup, you heard me, salt's the treat, or asin in Tagalog. Usually it's what I put if I have Canker Sore. [because i'm too lazy to go to London Drugs and too cheap to buy the ointment, but who cares? It's not like you're going to show it to everyone, so why waste your loonies?]

Anyways, it's not really done nowadays [I usually think I'm the only one who's still doing it], and it's worth trying. It's just like the medicine oint. You rub it in the sore, leave it for 3-5 mins. but dont gulp or swallow your saliva, just hold everything in your mouth, then rinse your mouth.

And that's all for my blog post today. So if you GOT GUTS to try it, then do it. It stings though. :P

Mga Oportunista Ng Baha

AM BACK!!! Pagkatapos ng isang buwan ay ito n naman poh ang bago kong post. (may mga drafts ako, eh kaso s dulo nabored ako.. so hindi natapos! hehehe) Anyways, alam natin at ng buong mundo and trahedyang nangyari kamakaylan sa Pilipinas. Alam ko din syempre, nanonood din naman ako ng balita minsan noh.... Pero napansin ko lang talaga.. sa lahat ng mga taong natatapatan ng camera, may NAKANGITI!

I mean, HALLER! nabaha ka na't lahat smiling face ka pa rin pare? Ayos ka kung ganun! Pero of course, ano ba siya? sina ba siya at ano ugali niya?.... the answer is: "DAHIL PINOY SYA" ;simple!

So nasagot ko na yung tanong ko. Now, about my topic naman. Why "oportunista"? Again, ang sagot dyan ay dahil pilipino sila, haha. Nasabi ko lang na ganun kasi... well... sabihin na nating isa ka sa mga nagde-death march sa baha. Isa ka sa mga taong naka prusisyon sa abot-ulong baha. Walang TV, walang signal, at walang pera... Ano gagawin mo?

SO ETO YUNG MGA PUMASOK SA UTAK KO. MGA "OPPORTUNITIES" sa "GATHERING" katulad ng ganun:

1.Makipagkilala sa mga taong nasa paligid mo.
-Gathering nga eh... so take your time para makipagkilala at maghanap ng mga kaibigan. Kunin mo # nya, nila, lahat.

2.Kung "camwhore" ka, hanap ka reporter, magpa-cute ka.
-Pa-cute lang ng pa-cute. gusto mo mag dala ka pa karatula eh. Nakasulat, "Nay, Tay, na broadcast ako oh... hehe

3.Pumorma sa mga tao dyan.
-Yup. Ibang topic to sa friends. Pormahan mo si ateng ganda dun oh. Maski na sabihin mong Binangonan sya't San Juan ka, eh kung gala ka talaga, hala sige lang!

4.Hand Moves.
-Tama kayo dyan! "Hand Moves", yung mga skills ng kamay, like Mandu's at Manyaker's. Kaya ingat kayo. Mamaya mag nakakapit na sa mga Junior nyo at Senorita nya... haha


So what you think? Probably gagawin mo rin to pag kasama ka dun sa "lakad" noh? Asus! Palusot ka pa, kilala ko pagkatao mo noh. Kala mong tupa ka eh. Hindi joke lang.

Basta!

Ang isang bagay talaga na alam ko, ay hindi patatalo ang mga Pinoy sa mga trahedyang to. Laban at Bangon tayo eh, yun lang...

Escape From Crete

"Icarus' father, Daedalus, a talented and remarkable Athenian craftsman, attempted to escape from his exile in the place of Crete, where he and his son were imprisoned at the hands of King Minos, the king for whom he had built the Labyrinth to imprison the Minotaur (half man, half bull). Daedalus, the superior craftsman, was exiled because he gave Minos' daughter, Ariadne, a clew of string in order to help Theseus, the enemy of Minos, survive the Labyrinth and defeat the Minotaur.

Daedalus fashioned two pairs of wings out of wax and feathers for himself and his son. Before they took off from the island, Daedalus warned his son not to fly too close to the sun, nor too close to the sea. Overcome by the giddiness that flying lent him, Icarus soared through the sky curiously, but in the process he came too close to the sun, which melted the wax. Icarus kept flapping his wings but soon realized that he had no feathers left and that he was only flapping his bare arms. And so, Icarus fell into the sea in the area which bears his name, the Icarian Sea near Icaria, an island southwest of Samos.

Hellenistic writers who gave philosophical knowledge underpinnings to the myth also preferred more realistic variants, in which the escape from Crete was actually by boat, provided by Pasiphaë, for which Daedalus invented the first sails, to outstrip Minos' pursuing galleys, and that Icarus fell overboard on route to Sicily and drowned. Heracles erected a tomb for him."

The Reason I Did Not Let Go Of My Hat...

OK, here's the story kung bakit di ko kayang mawala yung bonet na bigay ni Julius:

April 4 08 - Despedida namin sa lugar invited si Julius. He gave me a camo cap as departing gift (bait ng bHezt ko shet! walang kapalit promise!!!) Nung nasa Canada na kami, naalala ko nalang na naiwanan ko ang cap sa house.... that was my greatest regret talaga (except ung isa dian). October yata yun, nakuha ko ulit yung hat ko kasama sa mga padala galing Pinas.....

YEHEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...Promise ko talaga since na hindi ko na ulit iwanan toh.


April 29 09 - Hindi pala iiwanan ha... Naiwanan ko yung hat ko sa plane. Ang laki ng worry ko nun. Basang-basa ang mata ko papuntang house namin... (skip na natin yung vacation details...). Before the day na babalik na kami ulet ng Canada, Binigyan ako ni Julius ng bagong head gear: BONET!!! (Inamin ko naman po sa kanya na nawala ko noh.. ). Tears of joy, di ko mapigilan. Now talaga, my promise ay di ko na sisirain.

Oct 9 09 - Galaan ng barkada sa downtown... Nung uwian na, nakita kong di ko dala yung bag ko. Nung una hindi ko naman talaga dapat babalikan... BUT MY BONET IS THERE!!!! Bumalik ako agad sa lugar. I broke the promise once, & i will never broke it again. Mga 9 skytrain stations at 1 seabus siguro ang layo ko sa location ng bag ko pero babalikan ko ito promise!!!!

Siguro it took me 35 minutes para lang makarating ako before seabus at 15 min seabus trip. Pagkababa ko ng seabus, takbo ako agad sa park na napag-iwanan ko. Kahit ang sakit na ng tummy ko dahil kakatapos ko lang kumain, sige pa rin ako. And guess what? ITS THERE!!!! It was a big relief na safe ang Bonet ko (yes, ang bonet, hindi ang bag). The night was good, at tanaw na tanaw pa ang sunset. I looked at the bay, and i saw a figure sufacing, and went back to water. A whale? Parang biniyayaan talaga ako ni God noh? They gave me a nice ending for a nice story.

So this is for everyone that thinks friendship is important:

KUNG MAY IBINIGAY SA INYONG REMEMBRANCE, TREASURE IT...
KUNG MAWALA ITO, RETRACE YOUR MIND AND SEE KUNG SAN MO NAIWANAN... BAKA MABALIKAN MOH PA.. KUNG HINDI MO NA TALAGA MAKITA, WELL, CONFESS TO YOUR FRIEND, ITS NOT BAD TO SAY SORRY. ^^

My Opinion Why Jesus Dont Have History Records...

OK... So napag isip-isip ko lang to kanina habang nasa simbahan kami. The day's gospel was about is it a sin to be anulled. Pero may nabasa ako about why si Jesus ay nagkatawang tao. Then dito na nagsimula yung thought ko.


Now this is my opinion why I think Jesus dont have any personal history records, like related family members or cousins, etc. and written history ( well, except bibles ). Because if Jesus would have personal records, then he wouldn't be a Lord, he will just be "some guy from the past who preach people and became a hero". He would just be one of the legendary guys katulad nila Gandhi, Confucious, Rizal, etc.


Kahit na sabihin pa nating Jesus was born at YR. 0 (in the middle of B.C at A.D), we dont have much historical information about him, pero mas OK nang ganun diba? Kasi, we wouldn't be what we are today. Christianity would be denied right? Because He was the one who lead us here. Earth would have been a wrong place kung hindi dahil sa preachings niya. Siguro puno ng mga masasamang tao ang mundo and maybe hindi aabot ang Earth ng 21st century.


See? Even though some say God and Jesus dont exist, they still made a contribution to the world's history. I dont say that They're the beggining and the end pero it's just wonderful to know that They are not from history. Kasi, di tulad ng mga bayani, naalala man, nakakalimutan pa rin. But the Lords are always by your side, kahit na di mo sila kilala or you dont believe in them, They're always there, in times of need and in happiness, EVERYTIME, so be thankful to know that Jesus is not from World history. =3

hehe... Nakuha ko lang sa novel na binabasa namin sa English. Its called "Speak" by Laurie Halse Anderson... try ninyo basahin toh.. magandang story promise. =3

Picture Day!!!!

Kanina eh picture day namin sa school... Parang nakakatense or something, but at least i surevived from fainting (haha, exagerated). Then after the pictorial, raming thoughts ang sumagi sa isip ko like "MEH PIMPLE NGA PALA AKOH NEAR SA BANGS", "HINDI AKO NAKAPAG ESKINOL", "HINDI RIN AKO NAGPULBOS", "NAPIKIT KAYA MATA KO SA FLASH?" at "PANO KAYA PAG ANG PANGIT NG SMILE KO?!". ]=( Shocks diba? Ayoko maging usapan pag dumating na ang yearbooks ( like last year, na-double ang photo ko at nasapawan ung isang ka grade ko - galit kaya yun? sana hindi. )



So, here are some tips for picture days, for a fresh looking, beautiful skin:

( haha, parang Ponds commercial )



1. Choose your best clothes - always look cool. 'Wag magjacket, unless it's designed with cool stuffs kasi plains are not so cool.



2. Before picture day, iwasan magtake ng mga items na pwedeng maka apekto sa skin - 'wag masyado kumain ng oily foods like fried chicken at iwasan ang pagpupuyat kasi it causes pimples and eyebugs.



3. Pracitce your smile - hindi complete yunng picture mo kapag wala ang shimmering smile na yan. You dont want to end up like a grumpy old man in your pic.


4. Use powders, facial cleansers, comb etc. - kailangan moh nito incase na mag oily ang mukha mo. Promise magmumukha kang page ng sticker album, makintab.


5. Before photo session, check ulit - check mo ulet kung ayos ka na, smile, hair, face, eye, damit.


6. During photo session, do not flinch - ulitin ko ha, 'WAG KUKURAP! maganda nga smile mo, mukha ka naman intsik.


and then... *CLICK!!* *FLASH!!!*

*PS - But then again, pwede i-computer edit ng photographer yung pic mo, uso na yan eh, so you dont really need this ( alam ko na to from start, hihi.. para lang may mabasa kayo. =)) )
